As you know, this year’s ballot has two tax referendums. You also know where the Durham Republican Party stands on these initiatives. (In case you need a reminder, click here for our information sheets.)
However, did you know that as of the end of the early voting period only 5,139 votes had been cast? This represents a turnout of 3.2%. If the Durham Republicans turn out on Tuesday, we can defeat these two tax increases! So if you haven’t voted yet, please make every effort to get to the polls on Tuesday. … And reach out to a friend or two and encourage them to do the same.

Stop the BID is a loose association of Durham property owners, tenants, and nonprofit groups within the Business Improvement District (BID) boundaries who are opposed to the additional real and personal property tax proposed by the Durham City Council.
